Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know to stream your iPhone screen with ease.

How do I start streaming?

On your iPhone, tap “Start”, choose “Screen Mirror Extension”, then on your Tesla (or other) browser enter the link shown.

Does it work without Wi‑Fi?

Yes. Enable Personal Hotspot on the iPhone and allow others to join. Then type the link shown in the app into the Tesla (or any) browser.

Is there any delay (latency)?

A small delay is possible depending on network and device. For best performance, use local Wi‑Fi or a stable power connection in the car.

Can I use navigation apps?

Yes—open Waze, Google Maps, Apple Maps, A Better Routeplanner, music apps, charging planners, or any other app. Your live screen appears in the browser.

What are the Free plan limits?

Sessions are limited to 3 minutes and one use per day. The Premium plan removes these limits and is ideal if your vehicle lacks native CarPlay or Android Auto.

Do my data leave my phone?

No, everything runs locally on your network. No personal data is sent to external servers.

How do I stop sharing?

In the app, tap “Stop”, then in the extension view, tap “Stop” to end the recording.
